Question:

Who is this online course geared toward and what is required to succeed?

Answer:

This online, instructor-led international course has attracted participants with diverse backgrounds and professional experiences – from people who are just entering the field of international credit and junior credit analysts, to international credit managers, VP’s and Directors of Credit. FCIB’s online course in International Credit & Risk Management has included participants from more than 50 different countries. Motivation, commitment and determination are what it takes to successfully complete this course.

Question:

How long should I expect to spend on the class materials? Is participation required?

Answer:

Students should be prepared to spend an average of 5 to 7 hours per week on the course. Participation in “group share” assignments and discussions is a required aspect of this course, making the course even more valuable by allowing students to learn from each other’s experiences.

Question:

Do I have to be logged onto the course at a certain time each day?

Answer:

No. The course is designed to give you the flexibility and convenience that most credit professionals need – the course is accessible from anywhere at any time. The course covers 12 modules. A new module is assigned every week and the goal is to complete the module - including assignments and short quizzes during that week. Work on the course material anytime during the week. A knowledgeable instructor is available to provide guidance and answer your questions.

Question:

Are there any other textbooks or materials that I would need to purchase?

Answer:

No. There is no need to buy expensive books. FCIB’s online course supplies all of the necessary material online. After successfully completing the course, each student will receive a CD of the course material for future reference.

Question:

Is the CICP certification exam “online”? Is there an extra fee to take the exam?

Answer:

The CICP certification exam is an “online” exam. Students must pick a 4-hour window during the 30 days following the end of the course in which to take the exam. The CICP exam is comprised of 120 multiple choice and short answer questions. There is no extra cost for taking the certification exam.
