Dare to Prepare: How to Win Before You Begin!

There are hundreds of excuses for why people don't prepare as well as they should. However, the most successful, confident, and satisfied people in the world rely on steadfast, time-tested means to get to number one. They insist on being the most prepared people in the room. It's not difficult, but it does take some discipline. "Dare to Prepare" introduces a tool – the Preparation Principles Checklist – and specific skills that can be customized to your particular business and culture to make it easier to implement the preparation process. "Dare to Prepare" builds on the advanced preparation techniques outline in Ron Shapiro's most recent book, Dare to Prepare: How to Win Before You Begin!, which made The New York Times, Business Week, and Wall Street Journal Best Seller Lists. This workshop will increase your team's confidence and provide a foundation for efficient and effective communication and a stronger justification for proposing a solution that serves your company's needs and meets client expectations. By daring to slow down and prepare more methodically, participants end up saving time and getting better results.

Designing and Implementing the Shared Services Concept

The nuts and bolts of determining if shared services is appropriate for your company. How to develop a business case including strategy, perform an assessment of the current state of the organization, complete a functional analysis, identify critical success factors, risks and interdependencies, determine how your company compares to world class organizations, identify the appropriate Global Shared Services model and locations, and changes in organizational structure along with new roles and responsibilities. In order to ensure success during implementation your company must have a comprehensive communication plan, utilize a change management framework, establish SLA's (Service Level Agreements) and metrics, determine what the 'desired' state looks like, who will be impacted, strategies to minimize those resisting the change, and finally ensure training and reward plans are in place.
